Mena Mountain Resort started as a dream for Lou Longoria and Denni Collins. They regularly traveled to Mena because Lou is an avid motorcyclist who loves to ride in the mountains. At breakfast one morning at a local restaurant, they picked up a Real Estate Magazine just to "look." What followed was a whirlwind tour of homes and ultimately the purchase of the property now known as Mena Mountain Resort/Retreat/B&B.
Denni had always dreamed of operating a Bed and Breakfast, while Lou is more an "outdoorsman." With a big dream and a lot of promises about what "could be," Lou convinced Denni that they should "go for it" and the property was purchased in November, 2004.
The original house was a picturesque rock cottage. After one Christmas with the family in 2005, it was quickly decided that construction needed to begin on guest suites. That construction, which began in January, 2006, moved quickly and once the 5 new guest suites were completed, a pool was started and later, the lodge. Construction was completed in the spring of 2009 and the original property now contains a total of 15 guest suites, a clubhouse, pavilion and pool.
A 3 bedrooom cottage suite is available with full kitchen, large living area, private fenced yard, and plenty of room for rv's and horses. It also has a private access dock to one of the resorts three ponds.
Fifteen guest suites are now available and we are ready to book your corporate or special private event in one of our many venues. We also have 3 fishing ponds, a pool, paddle boats, canoes, and barbecue grills. There is even a porch full of rocking chairs with a beautiful view!
